Final Thoughts- Abstract

During the process of being diagnosed with asthma or during the course of your treatment, you are likely to undergo different types of asthma tests. Some of the tests you may undergo reasonably frequently, while you may never undergo others. Some you can do at home, while others may require you to go to your asthma provider's office, or you may even need to be referred to a more specialized physician. I felt there is importance in regards to understanding the process of diagnosing asthma as well as for potential asthma who want to know the most useful tests for diagnosing asthma. I feel like there is more attention brought towards information regarding asthma medications and not enough light brought towards the entire process of diagnosing a patient with asthma. So I feel like my research will enlighten people with the importance of the top three asthma diagnostic tests and their effectiveness. I believe readers would be interested in this topic because not many people are aware of the several tests required to diagnose patients with asthma and how each test serves its purpose and importance. So, my research will be informative and help readers understand the process of diagnosing a patient with asthma. To find the answer to my question, I sought many resources available to me such as reputable medical journals and most importantly my mentor, Dr.Monal Shah who gave her thoughts from her experience in her career. Theoretically, I hope my findings can help pulmonologists combine features of the top three diagnostic tests into one. Asthma is a well-known disease in today's world because of the commonality of this disease within people in our community. However, the crucial processing of diagnosing a patient is so often overlooked, so I felt that I had to extensive conductive research to inform people about the top three effective asthma diagnostic tests.
